Global Feather World

This morning I came across the wonderful photography on Flickr from Jay  -  JET_BKK's photostream
Indeed a true traveller, his photographs have totally had me entranced looking through all 78 pages worth, stirring up my wanderlust.  My favourite being the Tribal collection of amazing images across Asia.  Please follow and support Jay's travels & photography capturing the fascinating World we live in.  Thank you Jay.

I am so thrilled to see these feather headdress from Banaue, Philippines.  Absolutely stunning.
The above image - Ancient temple frescos from Sri Lanka, a wonderous image showing headdresses worn.

This image is showing headdresses carved and created into the Apsaras at Angkor, Siem Reap, Cambodia. (image cropped from original)

Skulls With Style

04:53

On our travels, we recently caught a glimpse of a hand painted real skull hanging up in the alcove of a residents alongside various wall hangings, some included fur trimmings, but most were with feathers and layers of leather tassels.  All things we love so could not help sharing our inspiring snapshot!!

Inspired by....Ivan Belaustegui & Hijos del Sol

12:08

"It all started, as many things do, with a dream."  When we started to read the words from Ivan Belaustegui about his tribute to the people that inhabit the Sacred Valley of Cuzro, Peru...we knew we were sold with his opening line.  Ivan is the real deal !!  Take a look at his website HIJOS DEL SOL for some of the most wonderful photographs of the people and their land that few of us will ever be lucky enough to see.
Original photography by Ivan Belaustegui - www.hijos-del-sol.com

Paradise Gypsies wishes Ivan all the best for his future travels and photography and we look forward to far more wonders he may show us through his camera lens.  Its only a lesson in how lucky we are to be able to travel in todays world and share as we do like this to help, support & inspire each others dreams.

Live The Dream.
